Trail Fiends teaches people to explore responsibly

Through guided day hikes and classes that teach people how to explore their world responsibly, Trail Fiends empowers people to become champions for the environment by learning about Leave No Trace principles and the overlooked histories behind our state parks, wilderness areas and other open spaces.

Trail Fiends has one goal—to encourage responsible outdoor recreation by teaching people to protect and preserve their outdoor spaces. Through guided hikes, classroom exercises, and our podcast, Trail Fiends gives people the knowledge they need to become stewards of their environment.

At Trail Fiends, we believe that reaching a destination is less important than how you get there. When exploring the outdoors, whether for a leisurely day hike or for a week-long backpacking trip through the wilderness, we believe that the best trips are the one’s that make memories while minimizing our impact on the environment.

Trail Fiends offers guided day hikes that get people on the trail while also teaching them the fundamentals of minimizing their impact on the environment. Every one of our guided hikes include a pre-trip orientation that go over some some quick and simple ways we can preserve our trails, forests and open spaces for future generations.

But we don’t stop there.

All of our guided hikes include a fascinating exploration of the history behind the place we’ll be exploring together. Simply put, we believe that the more people know about their open spaces, the more they’ll want to protect them. From ghost towns to the incredible geologic forces that formed our incredible state and national parks, we want our clients to walk away from each hike with a deeper appreciation for their environment.

Outside of guided day hikes, Trail Fiends will be offering Leave No Trace classes that teach people how they can explore their world while also preserving these beautiful landscapes for others to enjoy.
